I’ve always believed that beauty should enhance what makes you different, not make you look like everyone else.
With over 20 years of experience in the beauty industry, I’ve learned that great results aren’t just about mastering a technique. They’re about understanding the person sitting in your chair.
I’m Lysandra, the artist and educator behind Brows by Lys.
My approach to permanent makeup is rooted in customization. Your facial structure, skin, natural features, personal style, and the way you want to look all matter. That’s why I don’t believe in giving everyone the same brows.
I believe in designing the right brows for you.

Permanent makeup is more than applying pigment to skin. It’s understanding balance, proportion, color, technique, and how the skin responds throughout the healing process.
Over the years, I’ve invested extensively in my education, completing more than 40 professional certifications and trainings across the beauty industry.
But one of the most important things I’ve learned is that knowing how to perform a technique isn’t enough. Understanding why you’re choosing that technique is what makes the difference.
That’s the philosophy behind my signature approach to Designer Brows.
Every appointment begins with an assessment of your features, skin, existing brows, and desired outcome. From soft, airy ombré brows to defined hairstrokes and customized combinations, the goal is always the same:
Brows that complement you, not compete with you.

My passion for education comes from my own experience of investing in training, asking questions, and realizing that not every class teaches you what you actually need to know.
I wanted more than instructions to follow. I wanted to understand the reasoning behind the work.
Today, that experience shapes how I teach through Brows by Lys Academy.
My goal isn’t simply to teach artists how to create beautiful brows. It’s to help them develop the technical understanding, critical thinking, and confidence to make informed decisions in their own work.
Because learning a technique is one thing.
Understanding your craft is another.

Whether you’re sitting in my chair for the first time or learning alongside me as an artist, my philosophy remains the same:
Individuality over imitation. Intention over trends. Education over guesswork.
And beautiful work that speaks for itself.
OFF THE CLOCK.
Because there’s more to me than a really good set of brows.
When I’m not designing brows, there’s a good chance I’m out having brunch, wandering through a charming downtown, or shopping for something I absolutely didn’t leave the house needing.
I have a weakness for shoes, statement accessories, beautiful spaces, and a good aesthetic. Barnes & Noble? Love. HomeSense? Dangerous. Target? Let’s not even talk about it.
And yes, I fully believe browsing counts as a hobby.
Fashion has always been my love language. Some days I’m dressed like I have somewhere fabulous to be. Other days, I’m perfectly content being comfortable and doing absolutely nothing. It’s called range, darling.
Personality-wise? I’m a little reserved at first. Sweet, down-to-earth, and quietly ambitious. I’m not necessarily the loudest woman in the room, but trust me, there’s a whole lot going on in this head of mine.
I’m endlessly inspired by beautiful things, unfamiliar places, and the opportunity to experience a world different from my own. I love a good transformation, whether it’s a look, a space, or an entirely new chapter in life.

A few things you should probably know.
Guilty pleasure: A serious sweet tooth. Cake, cupcakes, warm chocolate chip cookies, and a McDonald’s breakfast will always have my heart.
Ideal Saturday: A good workout, something delicious afterward, and the rest of the day is whatever I’m in the mood for.
Personal style: Entirely mood dependent. Some days it’s a whole production. Other days, effortless and understated. Both are very me.
First impression: Quiet, maybe a little reserved.
Plot twist: Sweet, approachable, and probably more down-to-earth than you expected.
Personal philosophy: Never settle. Especially when it comes to your brows.
